Episode 143

Profiting from Short Term Rentals with Al Williamson #143

Al Williamson is a professional engineer, full-time real estate investor and the author of a several real estate books. He began investing in 1996.
Al is best known for publicly documenting his quest to create enough secondary income streams to cover the 1st mortgage of his eight-unit apartment building (which he accomplished in September 2015).
He is now trying to figure out how to maximize the cash flow of a small portfolio so it can generate enough income to replace a middle-class job.
We chat about:
  • What is Airbnb and Short Term Rentals
  • How did Al get started with short-term rentals
  • Why does Al think short-term rentals are becoming so popular?
  • This makes a world of sense if you’re renting out your guest room, but can it work for landlords in non-touristy areas?
  • Al mentors landlords all over the country, are most of them really as profitable as we hear?
